1/17/2026 - Knitting in the Round Workshop

We will explore the two main methods of knitting in the round:  Double Pointed Needles and Magic Loop.  You will learn to cast-on, knit and manage your needles using both methods.  Please bring DPN’s and 32-40 inch circular needles in size 7 or 8, and worsted weight yarn.  Prerequisite; know how to knit, purl, and cast on. $40

1/21/2026 - Dye Your Own Yarn

Make a hand-painted skein of wool yarn with Kim, using professional acid dyes.   Choose fingering weight or worsted weight.  Ages 14 and up. $45  SUPPLIES INCLUDED. Additional skein, $20.

This is a 2-part class, where you will work on an entrelac dishcloth.  You will need to bring cotton worsted weight yarn and an I or J hook.  Please know the basics of Tunisian crochet. $40

1/31/2026 - Crochet Joining Techniques Workshop

Learn different methods and when to use them.  We will look at sewing, crocheting, and joining as you go.  Please know how to crochet already.  Class prep: bring six completed granny squares to class (about 3 or 4 inches wide is fine), extra yarn, yarn needle, and hook. $40.

River Heights Yarn Co has Community Stitching every Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00; Thursdays 6:00 to 8:00 pm; and Saturdays 12:00 to 5:00. In additions an “Elective” is offered. The cost is $25 and is by appointment.  Bring your project and have a teacher with you for 60 minutes to help.  Get started on something new or work on a challenging technique.
